Did you figure it out? :) I can see your profile and am able to edit it too. Go to your own profile (eg from the top bar, hover over your icon and select 'view profile') and there should be a red "edit profile" button next to the general welcome text. To edit the info in the infobox, hover over it and edit link appears. For settings and such, hovering over the top bar icon picture gives you "my preferences" option.
Steeplechase used to be how we saved and earned gems, leveled up or horses skills and got extra perks - like the weather tokens - but now, there’s nothing showing that there are any rewards available at all.
I tried contacting #Ubisoft, but they said that all they could do was note it as a user request for new services - that the issue isn’t something they handle. But, they wouldn’t tell me if it was just my program, or if it was site wide.
Please, I’d anyone else having this issue?
The race icons (what we click to enter) doesn’t have the info button to show the rewards for each milestone reached.
I ran three races In two different countries at the 600 mile/1200 mile and the 800 mile/1800 mile to see if the reward would be given even though it wasn’t showing up. All I received were the coins I’d collected. It doesn’t even show the level up for the weather stamina or which new ability is available at the end of the race.
This current whatever it is, now stops our progress on reaching diamond status (the blue indicator badge for stamina, speed and heart). I’ve put a lot of money into this game and I truly enjoy it. It’s occupied my time during chemo and radiation. I’d hate to stop playing - but it doesn’t make sense to keep running races with no way to advance.
What you are talking about is an event called Steeplechase Skill Event (link to page). It's not always available, whereas steeplechases with the basic reward (coins for running them, and some diamonds from the weekly leaderboard) are always there. The event used to be only available once or twice a year, but during the last year they have had it more often. As such, not having it on right now is not a technical issue, it's just the basic game with no limited-time events.
That being said, they will bring it back. The dev team is based in Shanghai, so they have been under strict quarantine conditions due to covid-19 (coronavirus) for the past few weeks and have been unable to return to the office. That has postponed all planned updates, events and maintenance, since they haven't had access to the game. They started working from home this week, so we're expecting to get a maintenance update some time next week. Most likely that will introduce some sort of Valentine's Day themed event, which will bring back the steeplechase milestones too.
Right now the only thing to do is to be patient. :)
This year I started playing again after a long break. Some features were totally new for me, so I wanted to look them up in a wiki. I am from Germany, but sadly we don't have a wiki there. I've been learning English for eight years now, but only in school. I understand the articles, but of course I don't know all the horses names in English. Yes, I can figure it out because of the pictures and hints, but this is really annoying if I just want to look up how to breed a horse.
Maybe we could write "In other languages" at the bottom of the page (maybe only for the horses), I would write down all the German names, and maybe users from other countries that also don't have their own wiki could write down their names. Then, everyone could just search for the name they know from their language.
I'm totally okay if you don't wanna do this, its just a suggestion. :)
You’re free to do that if you want 😊 I know that some people have googled the breed in their language, opened the wikipedia link and changed the Wikipedia language to english to find out what the breed is called in English.
The easiest way to find them here is from the skill chart page. The common horses are in the same order there as they are in the horsepedia in game, so it’s an easy comparison when you’re not entirely sure about the name.
Fandom is currently trying out a new Walkthrough teaching aid for new editors. Apparently, results so far are much better than expected. After trying it on a limited number of wikis, they would like to expand the number using it. It appears on the rail, you can see what it looks like here. Is this something you would want to try on this wiki?
The current testing phase for the walkthrough teaching aid that was enabled for this wiki will be ending tomorrow and eventually disabled. Depending on how it performed, it may become a standard feature on the United Community Platform. Let me know if you have any feedback on things you felt it did well or poorly within the next 24 hours.
Well, the number of edits has greatly increased among both registered and unregistered users. I can't say anything about the quality though, because this Wiki consists mostly of short pages with only crucial information and there's hardly anything to change or add.
It's very likely, but I'm not 100% sure. As I've seen the feature is only available on PC, and most users here use mobile devices. The desktop views of the Wiki increased with the increase of edits and the addition of the walkthrough, so there can be a connection.
